SHELTER ISLAND MARINA & BOATYARD INC.
Located in East Richmond on the South Arm of the Fraser River, Shelter Island Marina and Boatyard was established in 1975. We are a complete Marine Facility approximately 20 kilometers from downtown Vancouver and 9 kilometers from the Vancouver International Airport. We are located 14 nautical miles for Sand Heads and 10 nautical miles from Steveston.
The boatyard is very well known among boaters in British Columbia, because Shelter Island Marina and Boatyard is the host of two of the largest Travelifts on the Pacific Coast (75 TON and 220 TON Travelifts) capable of lifting vessels from 20 feet to 130 feet. Our Travellift team strives to provide the highest level of services and environmental standards.
Short and long-term storage is available for up to 300 vessels on 20 acres of paved land.
The boatyard is also one of the largest dry storage yards in all of British Columbia as it is over 20 acres of paved land.
All vessels have access to power and water and with our “OPEN YARD” policy, boat owners are welcome to work on their own vessels, bring their own subcontractor(s) or choose one of 30 businesses who operate on-site at Shelter Island Marina and Boatyard.
From regular maintenance to the most complex upgrade or restoration project, Shelter Island Marina and Boatyard will accommodate you.

Vessels Pressure Wash is available at Shelter Island Marina. Vessels are pressure washed in our Environmental Water Treatment Pit and our experienced staff are extremely professional when it comes to cleaning hulls.
Sheds and Containers, covered storage, as well as sandblasting and spray-painting facilities are available at Shelter Island Marina.

Clean Marine BC
Shelter Island Marina and Boatyard incorporates the best management practices to protect the environment and has maintained a 4 Anchor Rating from Clean Marine BC since 2014, the first marina to jump 2 anchor ratings in one certification.
Demolition/Boat Recycling service
Shelter Island Marina and Boatyard also offers the Demolition/Boat Recycling service to customers. We're capable of hauling boats up to 130 feet and 220 tons into our boatyard to be wrecked for recycling.
Over 8,000 linear feet of freshwater Moorage is available at Shelter Island Marina and Boatyard complete with water, cablevision and metered 20, 30 and 50 amp power. The marina covers about nine acres of moorage spread over five docks.
We accommodate up to 300 vessels with both linear and finger slips available.
Both short term and long-term Moorage is available year-round. Competitive Prepay rates are available for your convenience. Significant savings are made when Semi-Annual or Monthly payments are chosen.
Moorage Liveaboard Program
We offer liveaboard moorage in the marina for a monthly fee. Please click here to download our application form.
You are considered a liveaboard if your boat is used as:
•A principal residence
•A temporary, seasonal or secondary residence for 14 nights or more.
Our liveaboard fee includes access to garbage and recycling, water, parking, washrooms, showers, laundry, access to office staff, mail collection, hydro.
For an additional fee, we offer the following services:
•Hydro (Based on use)
•Cablevision
•Washrooms
•Showers
•Laundry (prepaid card)
MARINA STORE
Shelter Island Marina and Boatyard offers a fully stocked marina store serving boat enthusiasts since 1975 with over 8,000 different products in store. Anything not in stock can be ordered and delivered within 24 to 48 hours.

Tugboat Annie’s
Tugboat Annie’s Pub & Grille is an adult only (19 and older) venue serving up classic pub fare in a unique maritime environment
Located in East Richmond at Shelter Island Marina, Tugboat Annie’s Pub & Grille has been the local watering hole for over 35 years! Opened in 1986, Tugboat Annie’s has been operated by the McPhail family since the very beginning.
We pride ourselves on our great location with picturesque views of the Fraser River, and our great Food and Beverage menu coupled with friendly, down-to-earth customer service.
